“The first thing I did when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 (after finding a lump checking myself in 2020), was to ‘clean up my life’. I analysed the food I was eating, the workload I was piling on myself, the news and information I was consuming and the potentially toxic beauty products I was putting on my skin and in my hair.

For the past 5 years I’ve done the research, met experts and travelled the world looking for answers: a holistic approach to health. I’ve written two best selling books about my experiences and discoveries – and you’ll notice my hair colour on both book covers.

There is no such thing as a totally clean hair dye but the Daniel Field water based colour works doesn’t have any PPD or PTD ammonia or resorcinol in the ingredients list.

They also use a brilliant detox treatment (with ascorbic acid) after they’ve applied the colour, that closes the hair follicles so the colour stops penetrating as soon as the treatment is finished.
